About the Artist

 Diallo Mwathi Jeffery is an American photographer, known for ethnographic fine art photography of modern and ancient landscapes. Jeffery developed his photographic acuity in his adolescence, using a 35mm SLR he borrowed from his father.

Jeffery applies a meticulous process to capturing his subject.  His attention to color yields a print of surreal clarity and texture. 

 Jeffery is a graduate of Oakland Public Schools and Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and studied motion pictures and television at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.

Inspired by ancestral artisans and their cosmological influences, Jeffery travels extensively to capture images of enduring sites of antiquity for the preservation of world heritage relics that bind all of humanity to a common source of heritage.

Jeffery’s works exhibit in commercial, private and municipal collections in the United States and abroad. Among his local institutional collectors and clientele are the Port of Oakland and the Oakland Museum of California respectively.

By his own hand, Jeffery renders enticing photographic prints in archival pigments onto pressed cotton, glass, and wood. He signs and numbers his original works, each of which are of limited production.
